The trainings took place in Kropyvnytskyi, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia.

During these events, over 60 young women and men learned about:

  • The fundamental principles and goals of the WPS and YPS agendas.
  • The importance of active youth participation and contribution to promoting peace and preventing conflicts in communities.
  • The impact of gender equality on social progress in society.
  • The significance of mental health, methods for its support and recovery.

The trainings aimed to increase awareness and understanding of peace, security, and gender equality issues among youth, with the goal of developing leadership and involving young women and men in decision-making processes that contribute to the construction of a harmonious and sustainable society based on human rights.

Participants praised the informativeness of the trainings, constructive work, and friendly communication. They formed a cohesive group and will continue to communicate in a shared Telegram group. As part of the project "Strengthening the Capacity of Youth and Women's NGOs in Peacebuilding and Support," work with activists includes supporting them in the development and implementation of socially beneficial youth initiatives aimed at developing youth leadership and activism in processes related to the WPS and YPS agendas.

"Thank you! Complex and extensive things were explained clearly and understandably. I will share useful mental health practices with colleagues. Motivation has arisen to further explore this topic," shared one of the training participants.
