Establishing partnerships across various stakeholders is an ongoing effort committed by UN Women. Fruitful cooperation with the state institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations is a driving force for UN Women in achieving its objectives and setting the stage for gender equality and the empowerment of women in Ukraine.

UN Women is cooperating with a variety of governmental partners and institutions. Following the decentralization process in Ukraine, UN Women continues cooperating with the Regional Administrations, and local authorities in various regions of Ukraine.

Civil society
Women’s and women’s rights organizations are important partners, as well as implementers of UN Women-led initiatives. UN Women civil society partners include national as well as local organizations. In past years UN Women has been supporting grassroots CSO partners on many occasions.

Private sector
The private sector is considered under an ongoing UN Women programming as an important partner in women’s economic empowerment, especially in assisting women displaced by the war to gain and maintain income.
United Nations system
UN Women is an integral part of the United Nations Country Team in Ukraine and since the launch of the program, and leveraging its coordination mandate, UN Women in Ukraine supports UNCT to strengthen accountability for international and national gender equality commitments.
