Women’s and women’s rights organizations are important partners, as well as implementers of UN Women-led initiatives. They include feminist organizations, organizations addressing the gender-based violence against women and girls, those supporting the implementation and localization of women, peace, and security agenda, promoting women’s leadership and economic empowerment.

UN Women civil society partners include national as well as local organizations. In past years Un Women helped to create over 130 grassroots partners, small agile self-help groups consisting of women and men, that support gender-responsive planning and budgeting communities, mainly in the East of Ukraine.
