Participants of the She Drives project in Khmelnytskyi visited potential employers

The She Drives project, aimed at training and employing female bus drivers, continues to connect future drivers with potential employers. Recently, participants visited the municipal enterprise "Electrotrans" and the international transportation company KLR Bus in Khmelnytskyi.

While getting to know the companies, participants learned about the specifics of their work, employment conditions, work schedules, and social guarantees, as well as viewing the companies' fleet.

The Director, Serhii Bobukh, gave a tour of the municipal enterprise for participants. He discussed job opportunities and provided a detailed introduction to future female drivers within the enterprise, encouraging them to consider a career in municipal transport.

Every day, the enterprise not only transports 50,000 passengers but also exemplifies a socially responsible approach to employment. Еру municipal enterprise "Electrotrans" is one of the first organizations in Ukraine to officially establish the position of a gender commissioner.

At KLR Bus, one of the largest transportation companies in Ukraine, project participants were welcomed by the Director, Ivanna Ivankova, along with current drivers, logisticians, and other employees.

This meeting took place at the company’s newly opened bus station, the KLR Bus International Bus Terminal, located in Khmelnytskyi. Participants had the opportunity to explore the company’s fleet and engage in detailed discussions with the team. Additionally, the drivers facilitated a test drive for the attendees.

Similar study visits to potential employers were previously conducted in Kyiv and Poltava.


The project "Expanding the professional potential of women in the field of passenger transportation" is being implemented by the NGO Foundation for Institutional Development on the initiative of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in partnership with UN Women and under the financial support of Sweden.
