Women are key to peace – Iryna’s story
Iryna Kovalenko is a public mobilizer in Siversk in Eastern Ukraine, and an entrepreneur who, together with like-minded women, takes steps to return her community to normalcy after the conflict. She builds playgrounds, employs local women in her bakery, and is running for local office. This story is a part of the UN Women campaign Women Are Key to Peace realized with the financial support of Norway, Sweden, Canada, Denmark and the European Union.
