Partnership for Advancing Women’s Rights and Gender Equality at the Local Level

UN Women with Ukrainian Women’s Fund have been supporting community mobilization for empowerment (CME) processes in Eastern Ukraine. By providing new skills, knowledge and confidence to community groups, the CME process has already enabled mobilized women and men to conduct their own gender analysis of community needs, especially the needs of the most vulnerable, and to advocate with local authorities to incorporate those needs into local development plans and budgets. The video is produced in the framework of the joint UNDP-UN Women programme, “Restoration of Governance and Reconciliation in Crisis-Affected Communities of Ukraine” funded by the European Union.
