Since its launch in 2014, hundreds of thousands of men from around the world and all walks of life, including Heads of State, CEOs, and global thought leaders, have committed to gender equality.
The large-scale mobilization of HeForShe resulted in highlighting the role of men and youth as change-makers for gender equality. The HeForShe Ukraine engaged men and boys in GE advocacy and included more than 50 strategic partnerships with academia, the media, the private sector, and government entities.
HeForShe Arts Week – an annual art marathon that brings together museums, galleries, cinemas, and other art institutions around the themes of gender equality and human rights. The Arts Week usually takes place from 8 to 14 March. Each year HeForShe Arts Week calendar includes from 15 to 30 diverse partnership activities and events, online and offline, in Kyiv and regions. HeForShe Congress – an annual educational event and platform for the private sector to promote gender equality, inclusiveness, and women's leadership. The congress took place in Kyiv in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, it is attended by about 500-800 people annually. Each year it has a new focus and format, engaging new private sector partners and speakers to share the best practices, challenges, and experience in gender-sensitive politics implementation. More
HeForShe University Tour – a grassroots effort to launch a dialogue with students on gender equality. The Ukrainian HeForShe University Tour went to 5 universities all over Ukraine (Chernivtsi, Lviv, Kyiv, Dnipro, and Mariupol), events were attended by more than 600 students, 12 influencers, CSO activists and HeForShe supporters participated in offline events, as moderators and speakers during the talks with students. The participants of the shows joined a large-scale discussion about stereotypes, sexism, discrimination, and violence. More
