“Of Course, You Can!” | When Stereotypes Step Aside, Opportunities Appear

80% of registered unemployed people in Ukraine are women. At the same time, the full-scale invasion has significantly reshaped the dynamics of the Ukrainian labour market. The workforce shortage continues to grow.

Gender stereotypes should not determine the future of Ukraine’s economy. Women are needed in the Ukrainian labour market now more than ever.

Women deminers, drivers, scientists, and technical specialists are not exceptions. They are a reality. Women have the right, the qualifications, and the motivation to work across different sectors.

This video features no professional actors or artificial sets, only real stories that prove every woman can say to herself: “Of Course, You Can!”

Of course, you can return to the labour market after maternity or childcare leave.
Of course, you can choose a profession you truly enjoy, not one considered “typically female.”
Of course, you can successfully balance motherhood and a career.
Of course, you can earn a fair wage.

Let every woman’s inner voice be stronger than any stereotype.

The national information campaign “Of Course, You Can!” is implemented within the framework of UN Women Ukraine’s Strategic Note (2025-2029) through the financial support from the Governments of Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Canada and Croatia, and in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
