EXPO 2025 | Women’s Entrepreneurship Driving Ukraine’s Economic Growth

In 2025, women in Ukraine founded 60% of all new companies, driving job creation, innovation, and economic resilience across the country.

This video captures the Women’s Entrepreneurship EXPO 2025 satellite event in Kyiv, which brought together around 200 participants, including women entrepreneurs, private sector partners, business accelerators, international organizations, and civil society. The event combined a product exhibition with an opportunity fair, featuring training programmes, grants, loans, and business development sessions.

UN Women also presented the first-ever WEPs Award, honoring companies advancing gender equality. The inaugural winners were Lika Comfort, a company specializing in air conditioning and heating systems, and RIVOLTA, a family-owned coffee shop in Ternopil.

The EXPO 2025 highlighted the power of collaboration, showing that when women are supported in business, the entire economy benefits.

Launched in 2021, the Women’s Entrepreneurship EXPO is a unique partnership platform to promote women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem building in the Europe and Central Asia region. EXPO provides an interactive space for women entrepreneurs, investors, and private sector representatives for networking and collaboration, peer learning, ideas generation, capacity building, and business development. EXPO 2025 is organized by the UN Women Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Business Angels Network (EBAN), and Women in Tech Global. EXPO 2025 in Ukraine is enabled by the financial support from France and Sweden.
