Yes, I’m a driver. And this is my place!
When a little girl chooses a toy car among other toys, it’s not just about play; it’s about choosing a path. A path toward confidence, professionalism, and equality.
The new video from the She Drives project tells the story of a woman who broke stereotypes and chose a profession once considered “male-only.”
The main character is Tetyana Yurkevych, a graduate of the She Drives project, who now works as a public transport driver at Kyivpastrans. Her story is an example of how dreams, perseverance, and support can change a life.
Each of these stories proves that professionalism has no gender.
Today, it is crucial to create more opportunities for women in the transport sector because it's not just about equality, but also about a stronger economy and a modern labor market where talent and motivation are valued above all.
The project "Expanding the professional potential of women in the field of transportation" is being implemented by the NGO Foundation for Institutional Development on the initiative of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in partnership with UN Women and under the financial support from the governments of France, Poland, and Sweden.
